A few classes have this issue actually. warlocks cant continue questing as they nolonger earn immolate unless they they hit lvl 12 after specing for destruction and night elf monks dont get any quests when the time comes to learn your first spell.

On a side note, I really liked the human male as a monk. The starter animation was really awesome for him, just might need a touch of polish during combat. The only disappointment was when I finally upgraded the weapon, he just had boring old standard weapon animations. Was hoping for monk animations like the panda!
Some races don't even have their racial ability.I think the big culprit is that Blizzard has yet to put in the class quest you get afterwards, which is mandatory to continue the starting area quest series.
The human starting area might just be bugged in that the NPCs need to know your class before giving the quests.
